Accountant - 9 Month Fixed Term Contract - £50,000 - £55,000

I am pleased to be working with an exciting and fast-moving organisation based on the Western Outskirts of Edinburgh - this is offered on a hybrid working arrangement with 3 days in the office and 2 at home.

Working in the General Ledger team, you will be responsible for producing management accounts packs, leading on monthly, quarterly, and year end close, and ensuring analysis of profit/loss is performed consistently and accurately to maintain a keen insight into performance.

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Month-end management accounts,
• Accruals and prepayments posting,
• Approval of BACS and manual payment runs,
• Uploading financial information and reporting KPIS into Group Reporting System,
• Monthly reporting and analysis,
• Support in full compliance and closure of legacy businesses,
• Review, challenge, and posting of local finance manager journals.

Extensive commercial/industry finance experience would be extremely useful for this position - ideally, you'll have a history of leading on all the above with confidence.

Any additional experience involving change management would be hugely beneficial - this is a great opportunity to join a busy team during an exciting period.
