Accounts Payable Team Lead - Grangemouth - Fully Office Based

W&A are delighted to bring to the market a new opportunity for an Accounts Payable Lead.

In this role you will report directly to the Financial Controller while managing a team of 9 working in a busy and complex business. 

Strong people management, motivation and development of the AP team are key.

You will have responsibility around the supervising of invoice processing, scanning and payment of companies within UK and Europe and daily review and approval of payment runs.

My client is seeking someone who will take ownership of the full AP process, identification and implementation of improvements in the AP process.

Key attributes necessary for the job:

• Strong people management and leadership skills
• Previous experience of managing an Account Payable team of 5 or more staff preferably within a multinational organisation
• SAP knowledge for Accounts Payable and basic accounting skills
• Knowledge of VAT and Intrastat advantageous
• Pro-active and self-motivating attitude
• Excellent team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
• Computer literate to enable development of automated tasks
• Ability to work to very tight deadlines
