Actuarial Internal Audit Manager - Edinburgh

W&A is partnering with a dynamic financial services firm to help source an Actuarial Internal Audit Manager.

This role can be based in either London, Birmingham or Edinburgh and will operate on a hybrid basis, with normally a minimum of 2 days a week working in the office and the rest working at home.

As an Internal Audit Manager, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference by challenging the effectiveness of the risk, governance and control environment.

The role will be responsible for managing a portfolio of audits and ad-hoc projects over various areas aligned to the firm's strategy and executing each audit end to end to agreed timelines.

Required Experience:

  • Past audit experience is not required, however this role leverages strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Exam qualified actuary, or qualified by experience currently working in a senior actuarial role in Lines 1, 2 or 3.
  • Previous exposure to Financial Services.
  • Whilst not essential, exposure to model risk management, model change and actuarial transformation would be an advantage.
  • Good regulatory awareness, understanding the impact of regulations on your portfolio.
