CASS Audit Specialist - Edinburgh

W&A is partnering with an innovative mid-tier accountancy practice to help source a CASS Audit Specialist to help support their rapid growth.

Our client is flexible on location with offices across Scotland and other UK offices too.

The CASS Audit Specialist will oversee day-to-day audit tasks in a team serves a diverse range of financial services clients.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast growing team within a supportive and modern practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contact for clients on day-to-day matters, from planning through to completion of assignments
• Supporting team members ensuring deadlines and demands are met by the wider client engagement team, providing feedback as and when required
• Preparing and monitoring budgets and issuing client fees
• Maintaining an up-to-date technical knowledge for statutory and CASS audits, and related FCA regulations
• Ensuring internal and external expectations are achieved, including supporting the leadership team in setting and delivering strategic targets
• Supporting opportunities to promote the business in the marketplace
• Building effective working relationships with clients and staff at all levels

About You:

• CA qualified / finalist or equivalent
• Strong industry and technical knowledge ideally within financial services
• Relevant experience ideally in a practice setting
• A leader of your work and your professional learning
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to positively impact and influence others at all levels
