Payroll Assistant - 12-Month Fixed Term Contract - £29,200

I am pleased to be working with a terrific organisation based in Central Scotland. This role is offered on a fully remote basis (with the expectation that you attend occasional meetings at their Stirling-based office).

Reporting to the Payroll Team Leader, you will be responsible for supporting the wider team with administrative duties surrounding Payroll. The ideal candidate will have a good eye for tax and payroll. The data and information you'll be managing will need you to be able to look out for potential issues - you'll need to be able to spot inconsistencies and use your Payroll knowledge to correct/escalate in the proper ways.

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Managing information required for payroll tasks,
  • Ensuring accuracy of data,
  • Identifying payroll related issues in data before it gets through to the wider process,
  • Maintaining familiarity of payroll and pension regulations,
  • Resolving payroll-related enquiries,
  • Carrying out quality-assurance checks,
  • Supporting the wider HR/Payroll Teams with adhoc issues.

Payroll experience is essential for this role, as you'll need to understand what you're looking at and what you're looking for.
