Senior Internal Audit Manager – Economic Crime & Technology - Edinburgh

Location: Edinburgh or Bristol (Hybrid – 2+ days in-office)

Salary: £90,000 - £117,000 + bonus & benefits

The Role

As a Portfolio Lead within the Group Audit & Conduct Investigations (GA&CI) team, you’ll oversee a portfolio of audits covering economic crime, technology, and business transformation. Your role will be critical in delivering high-quality assurance, influencing senior stakeholders, and shaping the audit strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end audits, providing independent assurance on risk management and internal controls.
• Engage with senior leaders, offering insights into business monitoring and emerging risks.
• Audit cloud platforms, AI applications in economic crime, and software development processes.
• Develop and mentor team members, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Provide strategic audit insights, helping shape business transformation initiatives.

What We’re Looking For:

• Extensive experience in Financial Services audit, risk, or compliance, particularly in Economic Crime.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, software development, and AI applications in financial crime risk.
• Ability to influence and build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders.
• Critical thinking and data-driven decision-making skills.
• Strong project management abilities, capable of delivering in a fast-paced environment.
